Not only are we looking forward to eating delicious chili, we also are excited about improving health care access across the state and region for children. Proceeds from the cookoff will benefits the purchase of an electric ‘chase’ vehicle that follows pediatric ambulances into emergency events. The vehicle is fully resourced with staff members like trauma specialists to treat the child immediately and other resources to provide additional safety support to the family in the form of gun locks, pack and plays, car seats, booster seats, helmets, electrical sock covers and other items to prevent serious injury.
